# Who We Are

Team Resistance is a FIRST Robotics Competition team based in Jacksonville, Florida. Our motto – Going against the current – reflects our determination to push boundaries and challenge conventions in everything we build.

# Our Mission

We are dedicated to teaching students real-world engineering, programming, and teamwork skills through the exciting challenge of designing, building, and competing with robots in the FIRST Robotics Competition.

# What is FIRST Robotics?

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a global robotics community that prepares young people for the future. The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) challenges teams of high school students to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in an annual game.

# What Students Learn

• Engineering & Design – Mechanical design, CAD, fabrication, and prototyping
• Programming – Java, robot control systems, autonomous routines, and computer vision
• Project Management – Planning, deadlines, collaboration, and iterating under pressure
• Professional Skills – Communication, fundraising, outreach, and gracious professionalism
